You probably waited too long to get good prices on flights. It is not like before when you had to know the exact time to find the lowest fare. Now they sell the lowest priced tickets first. When they sell out the price now jumps. The closer it gets to the day of departure the higher the price for the same type of seat. Best time to buy is about three months in advance. You can wait to book a hotel as the prices tend to drop the closer to the arrival date. So booking separately is probably the best way than a package. Right now there are just two places to look for airfares … Southwest and everywhere else. Everyone will have the same price for airline tickets. There are no discounts or deals from site to site. So the trick is to book early which doesn’t help you. You are going to be stuck with the higher price for waiting too long. Wait even longer and you will see what I mean.

The best way to get a great deal is to book them separately. For flights, check sites like Southwest airlines, Allegiant Air or US Airways. Also do a search on kayak engine.
