check out the hotels’ own websites…sometimes they offer cheaper rates than discount sites like expedia, hotels.com, etc…

Check this website. http://www.utopia.worldventures.com I ran a quick search for July 27th and it has The Orleans for $40.
The Orleans is a very nice hotel (off strip) and widely recognized as one of the best deals in Vegas. They have a shuttle that goes to the Strip if you want to head there. I have actually had my best gambling right there in the Orleans

P.S. I checked the Orleans website and through the hotel its $80 for the same date.

get off the Strip & $40 easy. Problem is many have 2 night minimum. Try Circus & Riviera if just have to be on Strip for some reason.
