What is the best site to find cheap flights!?! Or packages? I’m going to Vegas in May :)?
I’ve tried using google to find good promo codes. Some have worked out. I guess I am used to a couple years ago when all round trip flights were $200 and rooms were $55! Any help is appreciated! ![]()
Thanks everyone! Help is appreciated! I guess I am living in the past…at 26 having been to vegas 6 times I guess its time all those super cheap trips caught up to me
Thanks again!!

I like Orbitz myself, you can get details about the flights, length of flight, etc. Some of the other sites don’t mention the details you may be stressed to make your connecting flight. Easier for me to plan my trips if I know all the details before I pay for the flight.

The best way to get a great deal is to book them separately. For flights, check sites like Southwest airlines, Allegiant Air or US Airways. Also do a search on kayak engine. It will check all airlines going to Vegas and all major travel sites and return the cheapest fare. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/cheap-flights.php
For hotels, book directly from the hotels using their discount promo codes to get the maximum discounts. Here are a few codes.

For two of my trips to Vegas, I had used US Airways vacation package of flight + hotel. I was surprised that it ended up coming out the cheapest for the times that I was going. I believe farecast.com used to search pricing from various sites to allow you to compare

You have to stop living in the past and get use to these prices. Competition has dropped and it seems everyone shares the same pricing. You will just have to keep looking and be prepared to buy when you find the deal. Be aware of sites that have prices that look so low and then when you go to pay you find enormous fees that will cost you more than the other sites. Read over the following page and remember to keep in mind the hidden resort fees that many hotels are charging.

In my opinion the best is to book air and hotel rooms separately in order to get the best price. For flights I recommend kayak.com and for hotel rooms the best is to book directly with your desired hotel in order to get the best price. In addition you can use a promotion code, e.g. from http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com in order to lower your nightly room price.

I hear you. Personally I always try and get a package deal first. Lately however (the past couple of years) I have had a lot more luck with looking a 2 one way tickets as opposed to a round trip ticket. I usually go through http://www.sidestep.com and http://www.kayak.com since they search hundreds of sites including individual airlines as well as sites like orbitz and expedia. The only airline not included is southwest. As for hotels. I have had great success biding on priceline (last Labor Day i snagged a 4 star in the Baltimore Harbor for $62 a night and that was over a holiday weekend when the going rate was $229) and hotwire, and i actually JUST paid for a trip to Chicago i’m taking. got a 3.5 star all suite hotel by Magnificent mile for $69 a night. They had cheaper offers, I just wanted to be in the thick of it all. And if you are splitting the cost with others it can be a really inexpensive way to get a great hotel.
Don’t know when in May you are going but right now for the 2nd week in May I see a 5 star hotel for $105 a 4.5 star hotel for $92 and a 4 star for $59. Granted you wont know the name of the hotel until AFTER you book and pre pay but how bad can the end result be when you are booking something 4 star and higher?
Have a blast!
