I am going to be staying in Las Vegas next month at a Staybridge Suites hotel off of the strip and was wondering whether or not I would be able to use the pools of the hotels on the Vegas Strip? Are any of them free? Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Yeah, make complete sense. Unfortunately the hotel I stay at is the company’s decision but I would imagine a month long stay at the MGM Grand or Venetian would be outrageous. What sort of outdoor activities could I do (parks, water parks, national parks, etc)?

Hotel pool are for paying guests only. The price of the room pays for the upkeep of the pools. Most will have someone there to check your room key card before letting you through the gate.

You have to be a guest. Can you imagine the crowds if you didn’t? The entire population of Nevada would be there.

lake Mead is $5 a day for the visit and use of the pool.
Your extended stay may also have a pool.
You can go to Sunset Park on Eastern and Sunset and they have a pool, picnic area and pond. It is a great place.
Henderson. com is the other town and they have pools that are as low as $1 a day for use.
no water parks.
red rock canyon is a great visit and under $10 for the visit. It really is a great place.

Technically.. YES. How strict they are depends on the hotel.
Mandalay for example is very strict because of how popular the pool is there. However I was just at Caesers and they never checked my room key once.
Also, remember that if you are with someone with a key, normally you can get in. So go up to a group of young guys and slip them 5 bucks to walk into the pool area with them.

Some of the smaller and/or low-end places are pretty relaxed about their pools. You could probably get into places like Harrah’s, Imperial Palace, Hooter’s.
If you pay, you can get into Wet Republic, Tao Beach, Venus, Bare, Sapphire.

Yep… it’s all about taking care of guests. That’s one of the reasons people choose one Hotel over the other. If the pools were open to everyone it would make paying guests unhappy.

Weekdays are much more relaxed to try and get into the pool areas of other hotels; Caesars Palace has let me in twice in two days now.
