Cheap Vegas Flights?
I’m looking for plane tickets to Vegas from Chicago in June. Everything now is $300+. Is that typical? I flew there less than 3 years ago and it was only $99 each way. Would a travel agent be cheaper?

Not necessarily, they have to make money too, so it depends on what kind of deal the airline gives them. I have the best luck watching Southwest fares. While right now they may say $300 a ticket, it will change. They run special fares all the time. We booked our flight for $99 each way after it had been $150 to $180 each way for a week. Just check it every day until you find a good fare. Right now (today) they have a ton of $129 fares in June. The link below shows their prices for the entire month of June on outbound and return flights. The total for 2 $129 flights is around $275 each round trip ticket. But it may go down tomorrow. Good Luck, and remember, Southwest is the safest airline.

I’m flying from Vegas to Chicago the beginning of June, so far i’ve found 279 on http://www.sidestep.com.
I recommend trying both midway and ohare. It’s even cheaper if you fly from Milwaukee, I think. There is another major airport about 1 1/2 away from chicago.
Good luck

Check out websites for Southwest, USAir and Airtran. Sometimes we fly in on one and out on another. It is unlikely you will find a $99 each way flight. All airfares have gone up due to the increase cost of oil
