How can I get a REALLY good deal to go to Vegas on New Year’s?
I know all the casinos and hotels have their deals. But I’m looking for the good stuff – packages which include great hotel rates, maybe even some VIP stuff for the clubs.

I highly doubt that you’ll be able to find a deal for NYE. I was looking at room rates for the Bellagio through smartervegas.com a few weeks ago. For most of December the basic rooms were $149-179, but on December 30 and 31 those same rooms go for $699. Check that website (smartervegas.com), they might have something for you.

Check out
http://www.Hotwire.com (they rate the hotels, tell you where they are, all the amenities, and once you confirm a reservation, they will tell you where your staying)
or check out http://www.Orbitz.com – they have package deals too!

Think about Nitetours for the clubs their NYE program is not quite out yet Darin is waiting for confirmation from the clubs but this will save you a fortune http://vegasuncovered.wordpress.com/2008/10/29/nitetours-launches-new-las-vegas-added-value-night-club-tours/

You won’t find anything cheap, that’s for sure. That is the biggest night of the year here. You will have to go to each hotel website to see what they are offering for that night. Most are probably sold out by now. People usually book NYE a year in advance.

downtown Vegas, especially Fremont St always offers you the best deals, no matter what the occasion
You will save quite a substantial amount of money using this as your base

I don’t know what it is like this year but at most casinos the rooms for NYE where paid for last NYE and its very hard to get rooms at most casinos

LOL!!! You’re not going to find much. Last year, I received a “Special Offer” email from Mandalay Bay, giving me two nights’ hotel, 2 tickets to their NYE party, and one other perk, that I can’t remember, for $1600! Yes, that’s right, sixteen hundred dollars for TWO NIGHTS. Room prices quadruple for NYE, and airfare is ridiculous. If you’re lucky enough to get admission to a club, figure you’re going to pay $100 cover.
Get on the hotels’ email list – you’ll get their “best offer” – but I can pretty much guarantee it won’t be a steal.
