I am taking a short vacation to Vegas with 2 kids and want to use the monorail…I think we are staying at the Excalibur. How far of a walk is it from that hotel to the start of the monorail at the MGM?

i would say 20- 30 mins. considering you have to walk through the resorts to get to the monorail.

Excalibur is kitty-corner from the MGM Grand. There are walkways that cross the street and the monorail is in the back of the MGM Grand. We do it all the time with a 2nd grader. It’s not a bad walk. Stop in the MGM Grand on your way to the back to see the lions.

I agree with the 20 to 30 minute estimate. It looks like a short distance on the map, but the reality is that it takes longer than it looks.

It will take you less time to get from Excalibur to the MGM Grand than to walk all the way through the casino and shopping area to get to the monorail. So 25 minutes seems about right.

Its a long walk…winding through the casino (trying to get that last quarter!) and to the back of the building to board the monorail. I was hurrying and would guess 15 to 20 minutes. Remember to use the arial bridge…crossing on street level is very difficult!

Agree with the 20-25 minute answer….hotels are kitty-corner from one another…with cross walks over the streets to get there safely. Depending on the number of people you have to avoid, and how quickly you are able to exit one casino (passing by those slots & tables isn’t always easy!!!)….shouldn’t be too long of a walk.
