I would stick with the Palms. It is currently the hottest hotel in Vegas for young people, so it has more of a party atmosphere than the other hotels. The clubs (Moon, Rain, Ghost, Playboy) are some of the best in Vegas, and the suites are amazing. I think you made a good decision.

You could definitely find something more affordable that is still very nice. It might not be as wild as the Palms, but still great suites. Friday night is when it is going to get expensive. You also have to watch out for how many the room sleeps, so you don't get into any trouble. For example, MGM Grand has a huge 1300 sq ft Terrace suite with a 700 sq ft terrace, but it only sleeps 2.

Mandalay Bay
http://mandalaybay.com/accommodations/default.aspx
Go to this link, and check out the "1500 x 2" suite, it sleeps 6, which you could get away with, and it has 1450 square feet. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, starting at $310 per night.

You could also try the Signature at MGM Grand for a 2 bedroom suite
You can find great rates on these by renting them from the owners.

Here is one that sleeps 8 http://www.vrbo.com/132357 and it has a balcony with strip and mountain views. It runs $325/night and up.

http://www.vrbo.com/159560 2 bedroom sleeps 8 from $200/night. A private balcony with view of strip and pool.

You can find many more on this website just by looking up Las Vegas and then finding "MGM Grand, The Signature"

Check out the Palms . . they have a couple of bachelor party suites that are freakin amazing. If possible try to grab the sports themed one. Talk to the concierre and get hooked up with all the 'entertainment' & club passes. Don't forget to rent a limo bus also . . we did and it was worth every freakin penny.

The MGM has some pretty good suites but I would also look into the New York New York or the Rio, they both have good suites as well with reasonable prices

Although I am not a huge fan of the hotel, I went to a bach party at MGM once and the suite was awesome. They have a wide variety to choose from, and the rates are not bad considering the amount space.

If memory serves me, it was a 2 bedroom suite with about 2000 square feet of space. It was huge and really nice. I wanna say it was about 1200$ a night, but I could be wrong.
