stay at Circus Circus manor(not the famous one, its next to it). It’s on the edge of the strip, but with the money you save, you can do a lot of things, like the 1cent or 5cent slots, shows, etc. There’s this shop in the hawaiian area( i forgot the shop’s name) that sells lots of items for cheap. It’s next to a 7-11 if i remember.

Downtown has some very cheap rates. Circus Circus, Stratosphere, Sahara are on the strip but not really near the main part. Right in the middle is Imperial Palace which has some real low rates. If you stay off the strip you can get some deals.
For a page of this to do which are either free or not expensive read.

If you have text messaging, sign up for adverts from the hotels. or emails. For example Mandalay Bay and The Hotel are offering ridiculously cheap prices ($99 a night, all you can drink and eat pool side or $69 a night). Last bit is look at the calendars. If your dates are flexible, there are some nights cheaper than others (most websites have a rates calendar on there, may be under their reservations).
GOOD LUCK

Casino and hotel hopping are free! Free shows at Treasure Island, Caeser’s Palace and the fountains at Bellagio…you’ll need to check the times. It’s, Vegas, it’s all about the experience…go all out. I stayed at Planet Hollywood. For cost friendlier hotels, Circus-Circus, Stratosphere and the hotels nearby it.

Excalibur e.g. has some really good room rates and the location is also good IMO. The key is to check the hotel promotions from the different hotels in ordert to get the best price. A good site for this is http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com – it has the latest hotel promotion codes available.

the circus if you want to be on the strip runs about 27 mid week, but the gold spike a block off Fremont is 20.00 a night all week enjoy

ON the famous Strip I would recommend Circus Circus manor (motel) but also look at the prices at Tropicana, Imperial Palace, Sahara, and Riveria.
OFF the Strip you can check with Gold Coast, Orleans, and South Point.
I will never understand why people want to stay “on the cheap” in Vegas then go spend huge amounts of $ on clubbing or gambling, and I live in Vegas

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. just go here: http://hs10.info/ueyc and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it’s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online… otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

The Orleans is a good place for the money.

On the Strip, Imperial Palace is the best inexpensive place. Hotels like Circus Circus, Stratosphere and Sahara are cheaper, but they’re too far from anything else. Downtown has some great deals, too. Pretty much anywhere on Fremont Street is inexpensive.

If you were to stay at Circus Circus DO NOT stay in the manor rooms. They are really out of date and does not even feel welcoming. Stay in the tower rooms if you choose this place.
