Can you gamble in any Las Vegas casino if you are 20?
I know the age to gamble is 18, and the age to drink is 21. Word of mouth people are saying I cannot go into any casinos on my trip to Las Vegas because they serve alcohol and you need to be 21 to go there. Is this true? I just want to play those slot machines with quarters for fun.
Also- is it worthwhile to just see the funky hotels? When I think Las Vegas I think themed hotels and lights and all of that. Can you just go sightseeing at the hotel lobbies or is that completely silly?

21 if the age to gamble here in Las Vegas not 18. Even if they didn’t serve alcohol it is still 21. No slot machines for you even at the 7/11.
Sightseeing is what most people do while here. Just walking the strip and seeing all there is to see will take most of your vacation. Here is a webpage full of things that you have to see and do when here.

The age of 21 is a state law, and the casino’s are on the lookout. Not the least because people who are underage and lose a lot of money can ask for their money back. Not only does the casino have to give you the money, but they get a hefty fine as well. So believe me they are vested in checking your ID.

No, you cannot gamble in Vegas, sorry.
There is a lot of other stuff to do on the strip. You can go on the roller coaster at the New York New York hotel, or you could see a Vegas show, the possibilities are endless.
Exploring the strip is very cool, in practically every hotel, there is something to do. There is also a minor league hockey team there so if you are bored one night, you can go see a game.

The only place you’ll be able to gamble at age 20 is a few of the Indian casinos scattered across the country or in Canada. But not in Nevada, where the state law is 21.

NO, the age to gamble is 21
U can go into all the hotels, there are tons of OTHER things to do there. Shopping restaurants, movies, shows, rides etc. If you get caught gambling, you will be tossed out or arrested. You can’t even stand in the casino, u can walk thru, but if you stop and they card you, you’re out of there.
If you can avoid going before 21, I would, its just not worth the cost.

You have to be 21 to gamble, not 18. And they do keep a close watch on that and card people who appear questionable in age, even at the slots.
It is a lot of fun to check out all the hotels and sights of Vegas. I always enjoy wandering in and out of the hotels, checking out the decor and the shops. The themed hotels are particularly neat.
There are also lots of other sights to see in Vegas. You can check out the Bellagio fountains, the pirate show at Treasure Island, the lion exhibit at MGM, the shark reef at Mandalay, the lions/tigers and dolphins at Mirage, the rides at Stratosphere, etc. There’s a lot to do even if you can’t drink and gamble.
