How much mony should i bring for a vegas vacation?
Question by BellezzaItalia:
How much mony should i bring for a vegas vacation?
I’m going to Las Vegas for 3 days, 4 nights in May for my 21st birthday! I was wondering how much money I should bring on average for this trip?? I was thinking around 400$ or is that not enough? I don’t plan on gambling that much, just going out to clubs at night & laying by the pool during the day lol

if your not gambling that much 400 should be enough. food and drink in the larger and.popular casinos can be very expensive.

Going to the club is where you will spend money, lots and lots and lots of money, from the cover charge to the extremely high minimum bottle charge, and that does not include any tipping to get get inside, a reservation, a good table, use the bathroom, etc.
With penny slots and avoiding tables, you can easily enjoy the gaming entertainment on a cheap budget. Charge the room, all food, etc., you can. Carry only what you can afford to lose though every casino has an ATM for people; you cannot cash a check in a casino!
And 3 days 4 nights, means you are arriving very late and probably go to bed shortly after you arrive since there is waiting for your luggage, the trip to the hotel, checkin, etc. Yes a 24/7 town you still need to sleep.
So you have Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 to have fun. The night of Day 3 is your Night 4 and what time do you catch your flight home, with the drive to airport, check-in, etc., of at least two hours?
Just the fun of walking and looking at the casinos, night and day, inside and out, is fun. The laying by the pool during the day is nice but can become boring and you would get sunburned (this is the Mohave desert) easily.
There are lots of things to do like the wax museum, shark reef, Forum shops with living statute shows, Secret Garden, etc. Go to http://www.lasvegasnow.com for all the fun things Vegas has to offer.

I usually take a grand not including hotel and meals. The last thing you want to do is run out of cash.
Also, Don’t use the ATM in the casinos. They are EXPENSIVE!!!!

i don’t gamble and i take $200 per day. the food is super expensive, even one meal at mcdonalds will cost you double what you pay at any other mcdonalds. going to the clubs will cost you about $100 everytime that you go. if you can’t get in free, the cover charge is at least $20. if you want a table, you have to buy a minimum 2 bottles and each bottle runs about $250. if you just want to hang out, 1 drink will be about $10 before tip. also, the stores are awesome, so i am assuming you will want to shop as well. so basically you will need at least $50 for food a day, then at least $50 for the club each day. then spending money on top of that.

it depends where you are staying. Food is shockingly expensive depending on where you stay, but 400 cash should be fine for three days. Have fun!

$400 you sweet. Get you some club passes from hotel staff or the guys on the street sell em for $5-$10 a pass. When you hit the clubs drink before you go cause drinks will be $10n up. Get there early at well to avoid long lines 10 or so. Also bottle service is not necessary. If you 21 you prob in college and dont have the money to be doing that.

I went with $500 in my wallet and had to go to the ATM twice for a week. Food is expensive, shops are expensive, there is alot of tipping involved. Luckily I rented a car which turned out to be cheaper than the cabs thanks to free parking.

It depends on what you want to do. If you want to know exactly it is very simple go to http://www.vegas.com it has everything there is to do in Vegas from meals, shows, hotel, clubs, etc and it tells you exactly how much it it going to cost you. And remember you do not need to rent a car in Vegas. Taxis are everywhere. The site even has a Map of where the hotels are on the strip.

Honestly as much as you can bring is the right amount. Anyway this is what you can/will be spending your money on: gambling, shopping, entertainment, taxis, tipping (everyone), food, club admission, drinking, souveniers, and random necessities you may have forgot (water bottles, shampoo, sunscreen).
Total Average:
Gambling $100
Shopping & Gifts $200
Nightclubs & Drinks/entertainment – $210
Food – $200
Taxi/Limo – $70
Random/tips/buffer – $100
so for your 3.5 day trip..I would budget around $880 not including airfare and hotel. Again you could end up spending way less than that, but again you could be spending a whole lot more. I say bring at least $400, but if you could have up to $1000 you should be pretty good. You’re spending an extra day and a half past the typical weekend. When I go for a weekend I spend about $600 maybe more. Again it’s up to you, if you choose not to shop, don’t buy too many drinks (make the men pay for it), work your magic to not have to pay club admissions, don’t spend money watching shows, keep your meals on the cheap(er) side, walk everywhere, you could easily get away with only spending $20-50 a day…anyway save as much as you can…and spend within reason..most importantly have fun!
