Q&A: What’s the best Vegas Casino for low-limit poker?
Question by Nick:
What’s the best Vegas Casino for low-limit poker?
I’m going to Vegas tonight, and was wondering what casino has the best poker room, preferably one with a lot of low-limit tables?? I’m looking to win a little money, and I know if I can find a nice low limit table (maybe – blinds), sit-n-play style, I can make quite a bit of money in time..
Thanks in advance!

Look Downtown and not on the strip. They tend to be old style and low limits which is what you are looking for.

Binions. Hotel California on Freemont St.
Or take a ride north to N. Las Vegas. Lots of the places there still have $1 black jack.
Goodl luck and hope you keep winning.

Orleans which is just west of Strip/NYNY on Tropicana

Downtown is the best for low-limit poker. I also like The Orleans on Tropicana.

The Golden Nugget (downtown) has a great atmosphere for low-limit poker ($2-4 and $3-6 blinds). I love playing there whenever I’m in Vegas.
Binion’s is also a good place. The Venetian has a good $4-8 game, as does the Orleans. Flamingo, Riviera and The Las Vegas Club are also good places. Good luck and have fun!

Surprisingly one of the lowest limit tables in Vegas is Luxor for Hold ‘em. It is 1/1/2 no limit with a $50 buy-in and only 1 re-buy. This means the most you will lose in a session is $100. This is much lower than the $5 games.
Locals like this game because you only need 15 hours to qualify for a freeroll and often the freeroll is chopped (prize money simply split up rather than won through an additional tournament). If you will play a lot here, even an out of towner can make the freeroll.

Excalibur or downtown. My husband plays low limit poker and that’s where he goes.

Are you looking to play limit or no-limit? You mentioned the blinds, but not the buy-in.
If you’re willing to play up to $5-$10 you’ll find that just about any room on the strip can accomodate you. Even places like Caesars and Bellagio will have a $4-$8 limit game.
